Drop your TV or projector lower with 1-1/2" (1.5") NPT extension hardware, also called extension columns, masts, poles, drop tubes, or drop pipes. Choose a 10", 20", or 30" extension kit, a telescoping extension pole that dials in the exact drop, or individual 1.5" NPT threaded pipes in lengths up to 48" that join with a coupler to build any length. Every extension kit, telescoping pole, and threaded pipe here uses the same 1.5" NPT thread found across TV and projector ceiling mounts.

Also listed as 1-1/2", 1 1/2", 1 and a half inch, or 1.5 inch NPT, all the same thread.

Measured your existing pipe at almost 2 inches, not 1.5? That is normal for 1-1/2 inch NPT pipe, which really measures about 1.9 inches across. If it is threaded and holds a TV or projector, it is 1.5 inch pipe. Full dimensions in our guide to 1-1/2 inch pipe.

Except for the 10", 20", and 30" extensions, you'll need the threaded coupler to add any of the 1-1/2" (1.5") pipes to your existing mount. The 1.5" pipes can also be substituted in place of the pipe or mast included with your mount. At the bottom of the page are VMP accessories that only work with specific mounts made by VMP.
