Ordering, shipping and returns

Where do you ship from, and how fast?

We ship from our own warehouse in Plano, Texas, usually by UPS. Most in-stock orders ship within 1 business day. For full shipping methods and costs, see our shipping and returns page.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time. We ship within the United States only.

What is your return policy?

You have 30 days from the invoice date to start a return. New, unopened items get a full product refund (less shipping); installed or unresellable items get 80%. Special order items and anything not in its original packaging are not returnable. Full details are on our shipping and returns page.

Can I get a quote, or pay by purchase order?

Yes. We work with dental practices, government agencies, schools, hospitals and corporate buyers. Email us the products and quantities and we will send a quote you can pay online. For government agencies, public schools and hospitals, we can also accept a purchase order and invoice on orders of 1,500 dollars or more.

Do you accept tax-exempt or resale orders?

Yes. Resellers fill out page 1 of Texas Form 01-339 (the Texas Sales and Use Tax resale certificate), with every field completed, listing the seller as VideoMountStore.com, Technical Connections Inc., 1309 Summit Ave Ste 12, Plano, TX 75074. Send it to us and we will set your account up tax-exempt. Email sales@videomountstore.com to get started.

How can I pay?

Online with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. You can also mail an order and pay by check or money order, and telephone orders are welcome at 800-585-8795.

My mount arrived damaged. What do I do?

Email us photos of the damage and your order number and we will send a replacement. Keep the original packaging until we have it sorted out.

What if a part is defective?

Call us at 800-585-8795 and we will send a replacement item or part.

Will it fit my TV (VESA and hardware)

Will this mount fit my TV?

Our TV mounts attach using the VESA hole pattern on the back of your screen, which is the spacing in millimeters between the four threaded holes (horizontal by vertical). Check your TV's VESA size against the range on the product page. If you are unsure or between sizes, send us your TV make and model and we will confirm.

Can I swap the VESA plate to fit a different screen?

In most cases, yes. The thin VESA plate that bolts to the screen is the part that adapts the mount to your TV, and it is straightforward to change. Tell us your VESA pattern and we will point you to the right plate.

Is mounting hardware included?

Yes, standard mounting hardware is included. If your TV needs an unusual screw length or a spacer, we can tell you what to get. For odd hardware, an assortment from a supplier like McMaster-Carr is often the fastest fix.

What can I mount to (ceiling type)

What kind of ceiling can I mount to?

You anchor to the structure above the finished ceiling, not to the tile or the drywall. Common options: bolt the ceiling plate to a wood joist, to concrete with the right anchors, or through a plywood backer. For a drop or suspended ceiling, the pipe passes near the tile and the plate fastens to the solid structure above it. Tell us your setup and we will recommend the plate and pipe.

There is very little space between the joist and the drop ceiling. Can I still mount?

Yes. For tight clearances you can fasten the plate to the side of the joist instead of the bottom, and use a short pipe. Send us a photo and your measurements and we will spec the parts.

Do you have adapters for Unistrut, strut channel, or a truss?

Yes. We carry Unistrut and beam adapters and truss hardware that thread onto the same 1-1/2 inch NPT pipe system. See the Unistrut and beam mounts and the mounts that work with truss. Unistrut is a U-shaped metal channel commonly used in construction.

Pipe length, drop and extensions

How far below the ceiling will the TV hang, and how do I pick the pipe length?

The pipe, also called the mast, sets your drop. Measure from the ceiling to where you want the top of the TV, then pick a pipe or telescoping pole that covers that distance. Our adjustable poles telescope (for example 12 to 20 inches, 20 to 33 inches, or 44 to 72 inches), and couplers add length if you need more. Not sure? Email your target drop and we will pick it for you.

Can I buy the mount without the pipe or mast?

Yes. Choose the No Mast option to save 30 dollars if you already have a 1-1/2 inch NPT pipe or plan to source your own length.

Can I make the drop longer than the longest pipe?

Yes. Join two pipes with the aluminum coupler (11AC001), which adds about 1-1/2 inches at the joint. We can spec a multi-pipe combination for deep drops.

What pipe thread do your mounts use?

Everything is built on 1-1/2 inch NPT pipe, also written 1.5 NPT or 1 1/2 inch. That means our pipes, couplers, plates and heads all interchange across the system.

Can I buy just the parts, like a pipe, coupler or plate, separately?

Yes. Pipes, couplers and a range of ceiling plates (flat, angled, Unistrut and specialty) are all sold individually so you can build or repair a setup. Tell us what you are building and we will list the parts.

Weight and TV size

How much weight can the mount hold, and what is the biggest TV it fits?

Each mount and plate has a rated capacity and a supported screen-size range on its product page, so check the specific product. If you tell us your TV's weight and size, we will confirm the right mount. We would rather do that than have you guess from a generic number.

Dental operatory mounts

Is it safe to hang a TV screen-down over a patient chair? Will it fall?

We have sold several thousand of these mounts to dental and orthodontic practices and have not had reports of a TV coming loose in normal use. The TV is held by the four VESA screws into the plate, so proper VESA fit and fully seated screws matter. TV makers keep changing how screens are built, so if you have an unusually thin or oddly built panel, send us the model and we will sanity-check the fit before you order.

I want a TV mounted horizontally near the ceiling, facing down toward a reclined patient. Which parts?

That is our dental operatory ceiling mount. It holds the screen horizontal, facing down over the chair, and configures on the page: you choose the ceiling plate and the total drop. For a plywood or hard ceiling, many offices use a plate set in from the top plus a short pipe. Send us your ceiling type and drop and we will finalize the parts.

There is a tight space between the drop-ceiling tile and the structure above. Will the dental mount work?

Yes. We size the pipe to your exact clearance so the plate anchors to the solid structure while the TV sits where you want it below the tile. Give us the measurement and we will spec it.

Fold-down (pull-down) mount

Is the fold-down mount motorized?

No. The 33FD001 fold-down mount is manual, gas-strut assisted (rated to about 100 pounds), not motorized. Its only movement is the 90 degree fold: the TV sits parallel to the ceiling when folded up, and perpendicular to the ceiling when folded down. It does not tilt or swivel. It is designed and made in the USA.

What TV size and weight does the fold-down mount handle?

It is designed for 35 to 70 inch screens, with VESA hole patterns up to 600 by 400 mm. See the 33FD001 product page for details.

Do you sell a cover for a TV on the fold mount?

No, we do not sell a cover. For an outdoor install you can use a weatherproof TV cover sized to your screen from a general supplier.

Slide-out mount

What is the slide-out mount for, and how far does it move?

The slide-out swivel mount (33SL001) pulls the TV out from a cabinet, armoire, niche or tight spot and rotates for angle, then tucks back when not in use. It extends out about 13 inches, rotates a full 360 degrees, and holds flat panels up to 65 inches and up to 100 pounds.

Projector mounts

Do you sell projector ceiling mounts?

Yes. We carry our own Universal Projector Ceiling Mount (Expert Mounts), which uses its own adjustable swing arms, and the VMP Yokeless Low Profile Projector Mount, which holds a projector close to the ceiling and accepts standard 1-1/2 inch NPT masting, so you can use the same telescoping poles as our TV mounts for the drop.

Multiple screens and custom work

Can I mount two or more TVs on one ceiling mount, back to back?

Yes. We offer back-to-back and multi-screen ceiling setups, for example two screens facing opposite directions from a single drop. Send us your layout and screen sizes and we will spec the parts and pricing.

Can you build a custom-length or custom-plate configuration for me?

Yes. We regularly spec custom pipe combinations and custom ceiling plates for unusual ceilings and multi-screen jobs. Send measurements or photos for a quote.
