Quick answers on flat panel mounting
Quick answers to the questions we hear most about mounting flat-panel TVs and monitors.
Can I hang my cable box, satellite receiver, DVD player, or VCR beneath my mount?
No mount we know of supports a component directly. For wall installs, use a wall-mount component holder that sits below the TV as a shelf — see our AV component & cable-box shelves (for example, the VH003).
How far will a full-motion (arm) mount swivel?
It depends on the model — most full-motion arms swivel up to roughly 90° to each side, but the exact range varies. Check the specifications on each mount’s product page.
Can I put my TV in a corner?
Yes — use a full-motion arm mount. Mount it on either wall of the corner and articulate the arm to position the screen across the corner.
