We offer TV ceiling mounts with the option to add or substitute a top plate that works with unistrut. The adapter is available separately or as an option on most of the ceiling mounts we sell.

How we mounted a TV with unistrut
Most mounts can also be adapted to work with two pieces of strut. The photos below show how we hung a 50" Panasonic plasma in our warehouse. Everything except the mount came from Home Depot — the mount is our model 33CE33TW. Unistrut is a common brand name; the version Home Depot carries is Thomas & Betts Superstrut.
What you’ll need
- A TV ceiling mount — with a unistrut top plate or our unistrut adapter
- Unistrut / Superstrut channel
- Beam clamps (we used U-501)
- Spring nuts (we used A-100)
Step 1 — Attach the strut to the structure

We used U-501 beam clamps to attach the unistrut to the steel that supports the roof, though many clamp types are available.
Step 2 — Add spring nuts inside the channel

Slide A-100 spring nuts into the channel to create solid, adjustable bolt points for the mount.
Step 3 — Bolt on the mount and hang the TV

Bolt the mount’s top plate (or the unistrut adapter) to the spring nuts, then attach your TV. Done!
