External Height Adjustment Collar

Allows the TV to be slid up the ceiling pipe/mast and locked in at a higher level, moving the TV closer to the ceiling.

This item is used on TV Ceiling Mounts 33CE004, 22CE004, 33CE004SH, 22CE004SH, 33CE004NOPIPE, 33CE024, 33CE014, 22CE024, 33DW001.

This item can be used with the adjustable mast or with a fixed length pipe.

The collar is for fine tuning where 1 inch increments of our adjustable masts are too much.

Also included with our 33CE014 double stack mount and the 33SL001 slide out mount, where it sets the TV height.

This collar can be used for more than just fine tuning. You can slide mounts like the 33CE004, 33CE024, and 33DW004 (and the head versions) up on the pole, because the pole passes through the mount. But if you slide it up much more than 4 inches as a general guideline, you risk the pipe starting to show beneath the TV.

If you need a bigger height change, the pipe can be cut. But we recommend drilling a cross hole through the mast and running a 5/16-18 x 2 1/4 inch long bolt through it with a nylon locking 5/16-18 nut on the other side, in case the collar were to come loose. You can also drill the mast for a bolt if you do not want to buy this collar; the NPT adapter, which is the u-shaped part the pipe passes through, rests on the bolt. That route is not the best choice if you want to rotate the TV often.

The 5/16-18 x 2 1/4 inch long bolt is the same size bolt we include with our adjustable masts.
